Babak is an amazing architect, he designed a custom modern house for us that we absolutely love. He is super innovative and thinks outside of the box to come up with solutions to solve anything that comes up in the design process. He works with his clients to ensure they are happy with every aspect of the design without charging for any iteration. He has a great modern taste, and he pays attention to every detail. He is also a builder, if you work with him on architecture and building, it really simplifies the process and helps to ensure that his beautiful design becomes a reality.

I have known Babak for almost 15 years. I have worked with many architects and interior designers, and what has impressed me about Babak's work has been his attention to detail and functionality of the interior, as well as the architectural form of the building. Many architects design houses or large projects, which may look pretty, but lacks in functionality. In Babak's works, you see the flow and harmony of the interior and the exterior of his projects, be it a single-family design, or a large multi-story building. One reason is that he designs his projects inside and out while adding his own unique touches and attention to detail and finish, which is the way it should be. The other plus for Babak's designs is that he has designed internationally, and, thus, can offer state-of-the-art modern designs, not necessarily attainable from other architects without this experience. While adhering to modern principles for construction their interiors and attention to landscape and natural surroundings is both intellectual and warm. Their style is reminiscent of works coming from the German Modernist school Bauhaus, whose intent was to create structures as "total works of art". It is clear that Utopia spaces are meant to be admired but also lived in. Their most recent Los Altos Hills project is no exception. The use of space and light in this home is remarkable. Perhaps the best feature is the exterior living space which makes this home ideal for family and those who enjoy indoor and outdoor living. This home is an absolute marvel in form and function.

I’ve had the opportunity to tour the Los Altos residence designed and built by Utopia. It’s amazing. Beautiful use of space and materials. What sets Utopia’s work apart is the incredible attention to detail. There are many exceptional features throughout the house, including stairs, windows, doors, fountains, fireplaces, etc, that were designed and commissioned by the architects. Ive also had the chance to get to know both architects. They are great people with great ideas.
